Hello, i have a xperia arc s with the bootloader unlock allowed:no and i want to turn to yes. What can i do?? My battery is 12W25 and the cellphone is 12W26!

Hi all,

 

Just swapped from an iPhone 5 to an Xperia Z and what a beautiful device it is. I'm not so familiar with Android and I've done a bit of reading this afternoon and there's an overwhelming amount of information on the subject. So far I've came to realise the following:

 

• My device has Bootloader Unlocked Allowed = No in the Service Menu. I understand the implications of this to be that I can't install Custom Firmware? I'd like to get as close to the stock firmware as possible and remove all of the Sony bloat they add on the device.
• Can the Bootloader be unlocked even though it's set to No in the Service Menu?

 

Sorry if these questions have been answered elsewhere I'm just a little confused and overwhelmed by the various different handsets and options available to each.
